Stumble Upon is my god

I know I’m probably behind the curve on this one, but if you use Firefox, you have got to try out the Stumble Upon toolbar. I have discovered more cooler websites in less time, and been more inspired by them, than by any other one source. Remember the browser war? This may singlehandedly tip the scales in favour of Firefox – it’s that good. This thing is going to infect people. Checkout the random, coolstuff it sent me to tonight.

What it does is use the power of a number of incredibly bored web surfers, and recommend sites according to what you already told them you like. So if you like the In Over Your Head podcast, you’ll probably like what its other fans enjoy as well. And if not, you can make it aware of your preferences with a single click.

Another great thing about it, from the point of view of the website, is that it sends people your way with literally no work. I daresay it may be more powerful in the long term than boingboing in the number of referrals it is sending to my site this month.

Anyway, do yourself a favour and try this thing out. And when you do, don’t forget to tell them you like In Over Your Head!

I’m an official Stumble addict. I’ve been stumbling for 1 1/2 years and am loving it more and more. The best part about it is the quality websites you discover and THAT even improves with time and the number of sites you rate. Besides that, you end up meeting like-minded people who share your interests. And just in case you become addicted there is even a Stumble Group, Stumbler’s annonymous.
