One post a day for February

Late last year, I wrote a post in which I encouraged people to branch out for 2007, as a means of helping increase their success online– by trying new things, and not being afraid to make mistakes. In fact, feeling comfortable to screw up is almost becoming my new motto these days– it’s done so much for me, I’ve been telling everyone that cares to listen to try it.

With that in mind, I’ve decided to take my own advice for a change and challenge myself to post (at least) once a day for all of February– not only that, but to attempt to make the content among the highest quality content I’ve ever made. I intend to make stuff that’s relevant, entertaining, and insightful to people. (I have no idea how I’ll do that, of course, but I’m sure I’ll figure something out.) 🙂

It doesn’t help that I’m a pretty infrequent blogger, having begun in podcasting because I have a lot more facility with the spoken word. I want to move through that, though, to a place of confidence with writing that will help me to create more, and better quality, stuff on a regular basis. I think that changing this basic thing will help a lot.

I’ll be starting tomorrow with a post about social currency— a subject I want to introduce to a number of people, especially podcasters that want to gain ground with their listenership, or need advice making their podcast profitable. I think I’ll be able to lay out some basic stuff that will help people a great deal (or so we hope). 🙂 Anyway, I’ll see you then.

P.S.: Oh, along the same lines, I’d like to add the book a week thing is going really smoothly. I’m actually ahead of schedule, and loving this change of habit more and more. You’ll see an update on that soon too.

Go man go. You need to blog some book reports on your books. Still amazed you made it through cryptography book. That’s some thick stuff.

Will you be soliciting topics, too?

  4. […] Recent talks with people like Julien Smith, and podcasts like Managing The Gray by C.C. Chapman have really inspired me to make a run at creating a successful widely read blog. […]

This is a great idea Julien! I’ve been trying to blog something 5 times (days) a week as of late, and it has been going well.

Seeing your thoughts more often is something that I’m sure will be enjoyable.
