GoDaddy promo codes and coupons: Save more

I just received word from Podshow that my GoDaddy promo code page has become ridiculously popular. In case you’re not familiar with what these are, Godaddy coupons are given out regularly on the web so that users can save some cash when buying domain names or other products at Godaddy.

With that in mind, I thought I’d do a little post on how best to use them.

Godaddy coupon

OYH8: 10% off any order

OYH9: $5 off $30 or more with this coupon

OYH10: $7.45 .COM registration at Godaddy

Obviously, each coupon isn’t complicated, so here’s the deal:

OYH8: This Godaddy code is best for purchases over $50, that aren’t .COMs (see OYH10, below). This includes hosting, servers, email, or anything else. At the $50 mark that this code becomes more powerful than OYH9, below.

For anything between $30 and $50, go for OYH9. Likewise usable for email, SSL certificates, or whatever, but for smaller amounts than $50.

Lastly, OYH10 is probably the best overall. If you’re purchasing a .COM (or several), it’s clearly the way to go. This is particularly true if you’re buying exclusively .COM domain names – $2.50 off an $9.95 registration is better than any of the other available coupons that Godaddy have. The stats I get from Podshow prove this; this code is used way above every other one. Good job people.

Whatever the case, I just wanted to write this to sort of help out and thank those of you that are using the Godaddy codes. There’s obviously a lot of you doing it; a big thank you for that.

If you still don’t find what you want here, try this thread– Godaddy coupon list for 2007 — it should help you out.

Dude, I didn’t know you use godaddy – the CEO of GoDaddy.com is an extreme right-winger / religious zealot who defends the use of torture:

    1, 2.

I mean, I know we can’t all be expected to know everything about all the companies we choose to work with… or can we? In the end it comes down voting with our (precious few) dollars to support what we believe in.

Thanks for the guidance on using the promo codes. OYH3 is definitely the best overall. It saved me the most on my renewal of several domains.

Agree that is great to avoid companies owned by someone doing political struff you don’t want to support.

But if you post this negative info, make a suggestion where an alternative can be found with similar pricing and better or equivalent service.

I also see reports of godaddy being difficult (charging lots) about transferring domains away. Is this still true?

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I don’t believe anyone should be subjected to torture, but anyone that claims to object to torture, yet spends so much as 1 cent on “Made in China” products, given China’s human rights violations (including cold-blooded killings), is the utmost of hypocrites & might as well be conducting the torture themselves. So, if you boycott “Made in China” products, all the better, if not, you may want to re-think where you truly stand on the human torture issue.

Just tried NINE different coupons at GoDaddy. NONE of them work, renewing six to sixteen domains. No combination whatsoever was successful.

Service has slowly but consistently declined over the past several years. Have been with them since they started ten years ago, and, today, GoDaddy really does not deliver as promised.
