crazy, right? there’s a book on lynchings that goes even deeper. forgot the title, but it’s pretty ill. black men hanging from trees with a white mob taking pictures and posing in front of the body. yeah, it’s like that. cats would advertise in the paper when and where the lynching was going to be. they’ve got photocopies of that in the book, too. even handwritten letters between family members talking about going to a lynching like they went to a picnic or a circus or something.
can’t say it’s your standard coffee table fare, but it does give a keen and unquestionable insight of what lies at america’s core…
